First Church of Christ, Scientist, Alton-Godfrey invites you to a very special meeting every Wednesday evening from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.. Hymns are sung and attendees hear readings from the Bible, and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, which address community needs. There is time for anyone attending to share their own personal inspiration and accounts of healing which they have experienced from their study and practice of Christian Science. These testimony meetings are a “midweek pause for prayer.” It’s a time to give thanks every week! There is no collection taken. Loving child care is provided for youngsters while their parents attend the meeting. If you are visiting for the first time, feel free to introduce yourself to an usher. They would be happy to answer your questions, give you a tour of the church, and help you meet other attendees.
