Peace Haven Updates – October 2020

Image

“. . . I will give unto him that is athirst

of the fountain of the water of life freely.”

(Rev 21:6)

“The Water of Life”

Peace Haven’s newly designed website logo has behind it a wealth of meaning and spiritual symbolism. Our facility is located in Saint Louis, Missouri, a wonderful city with several rivers that run through and around our region—the largest being the Mississippi and the Missouri. The background of our new logo symbolizes the water that flows through our area and reflects a deeper spiritual meaning of “water” found in the Bible. Throughout the scriptures, the “water of life” represents eternal Life, the Word of God, that is purifying, baptizing, washing, and pouring forth from His throne. It is this precious symbol of Life, health, and abundance that Isaiah speaks to so beautifully, “. . . and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not” (Isa 58:11).

Inspiration from a Christian Science Nurse

Jordan Krueger shared, “I have had the most precious experience as a Christian Science nurse. My experience can only be described as lit by the holy inspiration of Love and its soul-refining action, time and time again. While ministering as a Christian Science nurse, I have felt the dissolving elements of divine Love melt away the dross of human want and woe and reveal the celestial peaks of unfettered, uninterrupted, spiritual being, yea the pure gold of Christly character. What measure of value can be placed on such an environment as this to dwell in, where angels from the great heart of Love light upon thought, enabling revelation, continually directing one’s attention naturally to the absolute reality of all things, as present here and now in a tangible form? No earthly value will suffice, but lo, all divine!”

An Interactive Workshop with Dr. Joan Bernard Bradley Saturday, October 10, 9 – 11 AM via ZOOM

Dr. Joan Bernard Bradley

Dr. Joan Bernard Bradley has presented this workshop in England, Canada, and throughout the United States. Her love for Christian Science is evident in the number of articles she has contributed to the Christian Science periodicals. Her doctorate is in educational leadership. The workshop delves into the history of the mid-week meeting and how it evolved over an 18 year period — from its earliest format of parlor lectures, into the current order of service for Wednesday meetings. Discover how Mary Baker Eddy repeatedly encouraged the early workers to share testimonies of healing with the public. Guidelines for writing testimonies from JSH-Online.com will be discussed and time will be set aside for participants to share a testimony. LEARN MORE & REGISTER
